Colorado continues to have four hotels with AAA’s top five-diamond rating, and the roster of four-diamond lodgings in the state grew by one, the auto club and travel service announced today.
All four of Colorado’s hotels previously awarded five diamonds have retained AAA’s highest ranking.
The Broadmoor resort hotel in Colorado Springs has been five-diamond rated for 42 years.
The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs has been rated five diamonds for 42 straight years, while the Little Nell in Aspen has been top ranked for 27 years, the Ritz-Carlton, Denver, for eight years and Denver’s Four Seasons for four.
Meanwhile, AAA added the new Le Meridien Denver Downtown, at 1475 California St., to its four-diamond list, which in Colorado has grown to 35 hotels from last year’s 34. The ART Hotel in downtown Denver and the Westin Denver International Airport were rated four diamonds last year; both opened in 2015.
Restaurant ratings will be released Feb. 21, AAA said.
