I want you close your eyes for a moment and envision Denver Colorado in your mind. What is the first thing that you see? More than likely, some people are going to think about piles and piles of snow that cover the entire city all winter long. Other people may think about the height of the mile high city and perhaps the fact that it can be difficult to breathe when the air is thin. I’m here to tell you, however, those are exaggerations.
The fact of the matter is, there are many places where you could live in the United States but Denver is one that certainly should be considered by most people. The perception that it snows all winter long is really a myth and it is perhaps one of the best-kept secrets of Denver Colorado. Yes, you do get some snow and the weather is cold, as it is in many parts of the United States. The deep snows that you see on the news, however, are not quite as frequent as most people think.
As far as the height of the city is concerned, it can be problematic for some people. When you live in an elevated area, however, you quickly get used to it and there are actually benefits to doing so. The air tends to be a little bit thinner and drier so it may actually be best for those who suffer from asthma, as they may be able to breathe easier.
Of course, this is really only scratching the surface of what Denver is all about. One thing is certain, it is worth a visit and if you visit with an eye on living there, you may just find that it is a decision that you make quite quickly.
